Life after AgCAREERSTART

It seems like a long way away now, but at some point, you’ll finish your gap-year and decide what step to take next.
We’ll be there for that too!

Career Development

The great news is, if you love your host farm and want to stay on and there’s a position for you, you can!

Throughout the year, you’ll work with the AgCAREERSTART Team to set yourself up for life beyond the program. You’ll investigate training or courses you might like to apply for, and even how to set yourself up for a new agricultural job. We’ll help you prepare your resume, and make sure that you have a reference letter ready to go.

Alumni Program

Staying in touch with your peers doesn’t end when your placement does. All AgCAREERSTART participants transition into the Alumni Program at the end of their gap-year. Here, you’ll join participants from the cohorts before you to take advantage of scholarship, discounted event tickets, and even advice and resources on training and further upskilling.
